Hector

Hector Murillo is a Mexican (Guadalajara), DJ and Producer. He os owner of VL Recordings  and producer of techno and house music, now based in Barcelona, Spain.

His project Vatos Locos Recordings was launched at the BPM Festival in January 2016 with the intention of shining a light on lesser-known artists and Hector’s closest friends. 

Hector toured globally before that, performing at venues like Amnesia Ibiza (as a resident for Music On), Fabric London, Space Miami, Womb Tokyo, and festivals such as Time Warp, BPM, Awakenings, Sunwaves, and Sonar.

Beginning his career at 16, he built a strong local presence before relocating to London, where a job at Phonica Records led to connections with Anja Schneider and Loco Dice. Thanks to this, he's been able to make releases on different labels including mobile, Desolat, One Records, and Tsuba.

Hector is the owner of the Hardpop Music Club Based in Juárez, México. Founded in 2006.

He has been called a "Mexican powerhouse" and is building a lot of other s like him through his label and his example.
