Floyd Lavine is a South Africa–born, Berlin-based DJ, producer, label owner, and a key figure in the Afrofuturism movement within electronic music. His sound comes from Afro house and reflects his roots and his ongoing dialogue with the future. Floyd is a co-founder of RISE, a collective and label inspired to bring Afro sounds to clubs across Europe and Africa. His own imprint, Afrikan Tales, is a platform for up-and-coming artists from the continent and diaspora.
