Exploring Tulum's Afterlife

It all started back in March 2016 when Tale Of Us, a DJ duo consisting of Matteo Milleri and Carmine Conte, announced the launch of Afterlife. 

The world was taken by surprise. All we knew was that some of the biggest names in the industry, like Nina Kraviz, Dixon, Âme, and Mind Against would be brought together to share a space of intimacy and creativity over the course of 13 weeks, in the legendary Space Ibiza Club. With these encounters the Afterlife label was born.

What is now a worldwide phenomenon started with a profound passion and love for music. A shared vision for a curated soundscape and a particular approach was, and still is the goal of the label.

AFTERLIFE FOUNDATIONS

From Amsterdam to Bucharest, from London to Ibiza, Tulum to Medellin, Afterlife has traveled worldwide putting on shows that mesmerize and spread awe towards every attendee.

 Two places that were key to Afterlife´s rise in popularity and prestige were the recurrent Ibiza Club Parties and the Amsterdam Dance Events, one notable mention is Afterlife X Awakenings in Amsterdam, held in the summer of 2019.

AFTERLIFE AND ITS CLOSE RELATION WITH TULUM

Afterlife came to Tulum thirteen months after its creation, following shows in Barcelona, Miami and Ibiza. In January of 2017 Afterlife announced that there was a party going to be held within the cenote of Zamna Tulum. 

Fast-forward seven years later and Afterlife at Tulum has become the signature festival in Tulum. The whole high-season of Tulum centers around the first couple weeks of the year, and Afterlife is always somewhat the opening act, the inauguration of the season and a blessing from the higher powers towards the mystical and magical land that is the cenote of Zamna Tulum.

Tale of Us

Tale Of Us is a Berlin-based musical partnership between Carmine Conte & Matteo Milleri. As a duo they cultivate a style that incorporates deep house, techno, and classical music. 

Over the years, Tale Of Us have become known for their mesmerizing live performances, which often feature original visual and audio productions. 
In addition to their music career, Tale Of Us is also involved in various philanthropic and environmental causes. They have been vocal about their concerns regarding climate change and have been involved in efforts to raise awareness and funds for organizations working to address this issue.
