Sasha

    Alexander Paul Coe, known professionally as Sasha, is a renowned Welsh DJ and record producer. Born in the last year of the 60´s.

   Developing his taste in music from a young age, Sasha ventured into the world of electronic dance music in 1988 at The Haçienda, a Manchester dance venue. Attracted by the raw sound of acid house music and its rebellious ethos, Sasha taught himself how to mix and soon began performing at local clubs. His resilience and dedication to his craft saw him rise through the ranks, becoming a resident DJ at prominent clubs like The Haçienda and Shelley's Laserdrome. 

    Sasha's mixing skills, combining euphoric acid house with Italian piano house and emotional acappella's became part of his signature sound and led him to his first cover feature on Mixmag.

    In 1993, he partnered with fellow DJ John Digweed, touring internationally and producing a series of influential mix albums. Sasha's creative flair extended to remixing tracks for globally recognized artists like D-Ream, Madonna, Moby, the Chemical Brothers, and Hot Chip. His eclectic blend of electronic music genres made it challenging for critics to categorize his unique style.

   His success as a DJ and producer in the industry was acknowledged when he was voted as the World's No.1 DJ in 2000 in a poll conducted by DJ Magazine. Sasha is a four-time International Dance Music Awards winner, four-time DJ Awards winner, and Grammy Award nominee. 

   In 2007, Sasha established a record label in collaboration with Renaissance Records called emFire, serving as an exclusive outlet for his new music.
