Sam Blacky

Sam Blacky is Samantha Black is a San Diego–born DJ, producer, label founder and former model.  She plays a mix of Afro-house, Latin house and other influences. After moving to Australia to complete her marketing degree, she immersed herself in club culture, began DJing, opened for Eric Prydz and worked behind the scenes at major tours before stepping fully into performance. 
Returning to Los Angeles, she leveraged her modeling background with Nike, L’Oréal, Guess, Sports Illustrated, Playboy, Malibu Rum and others, to sustain over 120 shows a year while refining her craft and transitioning into club and festival stages.

Since 2017 she has performed in Mexico, Ibiza, Bali, Tokyo, Europe and beyond, appearing at premier clubs and festivals and streaming to global audiences during the pandemic with her YouTube series A New World, filmed at scenic Mexican locations. In 2021 she launched her label Stabby Records taking a shift toward Afrohouse and underground sounds rooted in her travels and musical memories.
