DJ Mathame is the moniker of the melodic techno duo comprising Italian brothers Matteo and Amedeo Giovanelli. Their musical journey began in the solitude of Sicily's Mount Etna, an active volcano, where they immersed themselves in producing electronic music while running a bed and breakfast with their parents. This unique environment inspired the creation of emotive and cinematic soundscapes that have set them apart in the electronic music scene. Despite their 12-year age difference, Matteo and Amedeo's shared passion for music and creativity shaped their paths. Matteo's early experiences as a hip-hop DJ and his academic background in film, including directing artful movies, provided a diverse foundation. In contrast, Amedeo delved into electronic music production and brought classical influences from his years of studying the violin into Mathame's modern catalog.
