Audiojack

Audiojack is an Ibiza-based DJ and producer duo formed by Richard Burkinshaw and James Rial, active since 2006. Founders of the Gruuv label, their sound spans house, techno, minimal, and melodic rhythms, with over two decades of combined DJ experience and performances in more than 70 countries at iconic venues like fabric (London), Space (Ibiza), Watergate (Berlin), Rex (Paris), Zouk (Singapore), and D-Edge (São Paulo).

Their discography includes standout releases on leading labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Hot Creations, 2020Vision, Leftroom, Solid Grooves, Knee Deep in Sound, Diynamic, BPitch Control, and Shall Not Fade. Highlights include chart-topping EPs like Get Serious, No Equal Sides, and Vibrate (with Kevin Knapp), plus two full-length albums: Radio (2020Vision) and Surface Tension (Crosstown Rebels), featuring artists like Jem Cooke and Nancy Whang (LCD Soundsystem).

As remixers, Audiojack have worked for Underworld, Groove Armada, Hot Since 82, Basement Jaxx, and Jamie Jones. Their track “Plastic Dreams” and collaborations with Kevin Knapp, Stee Downes, and Polarbear reflect their diverse, vocal-driven approach.

Their label Gruuv, launched in 2010, showcasing both emerging and established artists like Emanuel Satie, Marc Romboy, Mr. G, Jimmy Edgar, and John Tejada, and is consistently ranked among Resident Advisor’s most charted imprints. Gruuv also supports a broader vision, expanding into publishing, bookings, and events.

Audiojack’s accolades include a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, a DJ Mag Best of British nomination, and appearances at boutique festivals like Rainbow Serpent (Australia), Into the Woods (NL), and Found (UK). In 2015, they launched Sunday Social in Ibiza: a free-spirited, non-commercial party series true to the island’s roots.
